well it is now sept 2nd and the car was towed to downs ford--- the throw out bearing went---- pedal to the floor brake fluid on the ground---- i told them there was something wrong with the tob on august 19th BUT they said they could find nothing and no timke was taken to pull the trans and check the tob for damage
STAY AWAY FROM ADJUSTABLE THROW OUT BEARINGS AND CLUTCHES THAT REQUIRE THEM TO BE INSTALLED
LET US SEE WHAT DOWNS FORD DOES NOW TO CORRECT THEIR  RECOMMENDED CLUTCH INSTALL MODIFICATIONS--- TO DATE THEY HAVE BACKED ALL THEIR WORK

to date there is no success. car towed weds. afternoon ,no promised calls returned, no report on problem--- blame being thrown around as to who caused the failure
RAM gives TWO bearing clearance distances--- 0.175 to 0.225" which is incorrect and 0.125 to 0.200" which is correct, anything beyond 0.200" will bottom out the snap ring and blow the o-ring out of the bearing.( this is with the bearing in its FULLY retracted position)

I was not here Jeff but I can tell you that you were towed in and we are swamped. I know Jim explained to you that with the Holiday weekend here and us being swamped with work already in our shop we would get to your vehicle as quickly as we possibly could. I cant just stop working on other peoples car's that have had appointments for weeks. As for throwing the blame around as you say! You have told us that you could possibly have issues with your car because the vehicle never See's under 5500 rpms all day. Which was also posted on Modular Fords as well as this Direct Quotes from you !

1.
seeing as how it was yellow/clear on friday and now it is gray seven days later. i had firestone do the last flush, they did not know the tob was linked to the master cylinder and did not bleed the tob. i know i have cateracts and "floaters" but i can still see LOL
pedal pressure is still very strong even with todays very high temps and my 6000rpm shifting all day.
trying to force a failure and nothing is happening

2. UPDATE ON MY RAM ADJUSTABLE TOB. as i usually drive i came into an exit at about 65 mph and went to down shift into the curve and there is no clutch---- zero down pressure---- no shift capabilities---- able to do a rolling stop into a farmers field---- brake fkuid dripping from the bell housing---- another blown RAM adjustable tob--- 50% of brake fluid out of master cylinder in farmers field and 30 miles from home--- tob quit working somewhere on the interstate with no warning untill down shifting
towed back to installer( which i went to on 8/19 and told them there was a problem and they said there was nothing wrong). waiting on their evaluation ( they say i have no idea what i am talking about)
leak--bell housing-- stick shift--- no pedal pressure-- must be my wiper fluid leaking LOL

3.all i have to say is STAY AWAY FROM ADJUSTABLE SLAVE CYLINDERS, or ford dealers that state they know what they are doing.--- sixteen weeks, three bearings, car stuck in dealers lot again, blown tob, AGAIN, and i am running under 400HP now AND have not been on the track since i put this ram system in. i am getting ready to put a stock system back unless a really good recommendation can be made from you guys out there HELP

All I can say is if you are that unhappy with your work here you should possibly try somewhere else we have done nothing but bend over backwards for you and try to do what ever we can for you but you sit on the boards and have never said how much we have helped you even after you making the comments about trying to force a failure or never being under 5500-6000 rpms all day. I have sold a ton of these and you are the only person that has had any problems.
We will contact you when we have any updates on your vehicle.

you as a company has not been talked down by me on any web site by me---READ your web site all i give is praise---i also push your motorsport shop heavily for a place to purchase parts--- 8/19 when i came in with a problem, your people said they could find no problem, WHEN i knew there was a problem, you could have kept the car, but i again was told nothing was wrong.forcing a complete failure was the only way you would look at it. pretty bad when you are afraid to drive more than twenty miles from home with a car that has "no problem" i took it and it failed while in 5th gear on the interstate. the failure is either Rams tob defect or the bearing clearance was incorrect when installed, either way it was not my fault
how can blame be placed ON ME when there was NO clutch problems UNTILL the RAM system  YOU recommended and sold to me was installed?Huh

well two weeks have gone by and i finally got my car back yesterday---- no more ram clutch---- returned to upgraded stock clutch--- shop wisely,do not listen to someone that you think is knowledgable, this after market "upgrade" ended up costing me over $3,000
update---- reading different sites there appears to be a concern about adjustable slave units, be cautious or have a lot of money to correct problems like i had above

even though i think i got the short end of this clutch modification and spent all this money ($3000.00+) to get a car running (3200 miles on a ram clutch 3/09-8/09) at least downs ford gave me some money back on the clutch/slave cylinder. should have been more, their recommendation--- their failure-- my lose--- but still a company that i think i will return to----

IT HAS NOW BEEN NINETEEN DAYS SINCE THE RAM ADJUSTABLE SLAVE CYLINDER AND CLUTCH HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM MY CAR. THERE HAS BEEN NO,YES NO, BRAKE FLUID DISCOLORATION SINCE THIS SYSTEM HAS BEEN REMOVED---- NOW HOW CAN ALL THE STATEMENTS THAT HAVE BEEN MADE ABOUT ME SCREWING UP THE CLUTCH BE TRUE, WHEN THERE HAS BEEN NO FAILURE OR FLUID DISCOLORATION SINCE THE RAM SETUP WAS REMOVED

i guess it is time to put this subject to bed--- since the RAM clutch, flywheel, and slave unit has been replaced i have had NO problems
my recommendation is to stay away from adjustable slave units ( read other forums, most are dumping adjustable units) stay away from MOST ram clutches--- they do not back their product AND do not trust anyone that tries to sell you a ram system because they will not help you with warranty problems

I am very happy that you have not had any issues with your car. I do believe you still have a credit with us Jeff for when we took the clutch back I'm not sure how much was given back to you but I know it was something . I am sorry you feel that we did not  help you with the warranty but we tried to help every way we could. I haven't been on here due to being swamped at work but figured I would write back cause I know we have not seen you since we swapped you back to stock. Hope your Holidays were good. Maybe see ya sometime!
