Picked up a  Pypes Offroad x pipe up @ E-Town to go with the Pypes cat-back system I have. I asked the Pypes rep/ sales guy about the x-pipe (Cat delete) throwing a CEL light code. He said the tuner would turn off the rear o2 sensors. I don't recall this in the set up or does the tuner do it automatically?  Would like to install this weekend, but don't feel like putting it in to find out it doesn't Thanks!

pretty sure the tuner does it automaticly-- you also have to return to a stock tune and drive 20-100 miles to get the computer to reset to pass NJ emmision testing
good luck with pypes system install you may have to cut the hangars off and reweld them to get a good fit

X Pipe is in. Only broke two bolts on the heads! No check engine light, (yet) so I guess the tuner took care of it.
Sounds good under 3000 RPM. Over that sounds like #$%#, These M-80 mufflers ain't so hot! Now i need new mufflers.

the only mufflers that will sound remotley good on an offroad x is borla touring for a GT500.  Expensive though.  That our you can have someone install some glasspacks (resonators) right behind the X.  Whatever u do, make sure u add something wiht glass packing and not just a chambered muffler like any of the ford racing ones.

What were you doing breaking bolts on your heads while installing an X anyway?
